Good troubleshooting. On a 4x4 noise in the trans case. They found the tire ware on the rears tire where at a appoint there was a difference in dia from the front new tires to the rear. Causing the transfer case to make noise. moral of the story, on a 4x4 change all 4 tires at the same time to prevent poseable transfer case damage. Thank you all. Barry Ridge

I understand this may be my fault, but I’m feeling really frustrated and confused right now. I broke my leg and have been out of work for four months. I’m finally ready to go back, and part of getting things back on track meant getting my car inspected. I drove over an hour to get here, only to be told my car failed inspection due to my brakes being at 4 mm. From what I understand, New York State requires at least 1/16 of an inch for brakes to pass, which is about 1.6 mm. I have 4 mm—which should be more than enough—so I don’t understand how that doesn’t qualify. Now I’m being told I have to pay $1,000 to get the brakes replaced just to pass inspection. I’m not trying to argue safety if something is genuinely wrong—but I haven’t had any issues with stopping, and I’ve felt no problems with the brakes. The last time my vehicle was serviced, you replaced the brakes and rotors with OEM parts, and nothing was said about needing new ones anytime soon. There was even a sticker on my windshield saying everything was good. So how did we go from that to a full brake replacement without any prior warning? I’m not looking for pity—I didn’t choose to break my leg or fall behind—but I also just don’t understand this sudden need for a costly repair when I’m already trying to get back on my feet, literally and financially. If there’s something I’m missing, I’m open to understanding it, but right now it feels like I’m being backed into a corner. I’d really appreciate a clear explanation.

Davidson of Rome is the ONLY GM dealership we will do business with, period! We have personally known Doug Davidson since 1990. He and his staff have always been great to deal with and have made purchasing a vehicle a real pleasure. Doug is a genuine individual which truly cares about the customer and his leadership inspires his employees to provide a vehicle purchasing experience that is second to none. Our recent vehicle purchase last week was with Sales Rep Roger Boris, this was our second vehicle purchase with Roger. We built and ordered the truck in February with Roger's guidance. Roger kept us updated on the build status and gave us an approximate ETA for delivery of the truck. There was always great communication during the entire ordering process. Once the truck arrived, Roger immediately contacted us and asked if we wanted to see the truck, we responded yes and went to see the truck. The truck had arrived the previous day and Roger had all of the additional accessories installed before we saw the truck. Obviously he had expedited the installation, but that's Roger! As far as the trade in of our 2019 Silverado (purchased through Roger), the financing, insurance cards, registration, scheduling the truck for rust proofing at Ziebart and even ordering the black Bow tie for the front grille, Roger was awesome, he actually cared if we were satisfied. I get it, the salesman is supposed to act that way, but Roger doesn't act, he genuinely cares about the customer. Just like I stated above about Doug, Roger takes his role as a Sales Rep very seriously and he takes pride in delivering a truly pleasant vehicle purchasing experience! I highly recommend you to contact Roger Boris at Davidson of Rome if you are interested in a new GM vehicle that they carry. ...........and oh by the way, this new 2025 Chevrolet Silverado is our 16th, Davidson vehicle! THANK YOU DOUG AND ROGER!

I have remained a service customer because of Chris. I will be remaining a Davidson customer because of sales rep Kevin C. It took nearly 4 full months to correct a wrong by Bill Rapp of Syracuse. They sold the Terrain I bought and paid Davidsons for after agreeing to a trade with Davidson's manager. The same vehicle could not be found after extensive search of other dealers up to 250 miles. My wife changed her desired color to Riverstone metallic and Kevin Carangui found that his dealership had that on order, tagged it as sold, confirmed the manufacture dates. It was delivered on Tuesday July 8th. A delay of more than 4 months. My wife's new car is perfect - color, equipment, A 2026 (not a 2025), with my roof panoramic window and leg room for me to enter and exit the back seat. I tried a Ct4, Ct5 and could not fit. My vehicle is an escalade and I wanted a car - not a truck or suv. My wife decided a small SUV would be ok. She loves the Terrain. I continued with Davidson's only because of Kevin. Thank you. I had a check engine light come on flashing and with TC also on. Check engine light went off (Monday), however, I wanted to see what the issue was. Went directly to the dealership and they scheduled me in two days (Wednesday). It had to do with the engine miss firing with a coil issue and need new plugs. The plugs were done that day but due to them not having the coil I had to come back. They squeezed me in for that Friday and I was only there 15 minutes, and it was all taken care of. I have to say I went directly due to if you call to schedule an appointment it usually takes a week with the schedulers, but the service staff got me right in.
